It’s been over 7 years since MtGox filed for civil rehabilitation on February 28th 2014. While the bankruptcy is still ongoing, there is hope for creditors to see repayments soon, and thanks to approximately 200,000 Bitcoins remaining in MtGox custody and the way the price went, every creditor is due to receive more than they spent on MtGox.

Things haven’t been easy as there hasn’t been any similar bankruptcies before, and the fact MtGox still had a sizable amount of Bitcoin made the whole thing even more complex.
